Translation
Many documents need to be translated in the immigration process or other legal proceedings. All of our translators have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in English, and are well-trained in immigration law and family law. Jessie Ho, a graduate of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of National Taiwan University (one of the top universities in the world) and a former court interpreter, would supervise the work of all translators.
Notarization
Licensed notary public provides notarial certification of the accuracy of the translation and the competency of the translator.
Authentication
Authentication is also called certification or legalization. It is a governmental act by which a designated public official (e.g. a consular officer at an Embassy or a consul in a Consulate) certifies the genuineness of the signature and/or seal and the position of the person/official who has executed, issued or authenticated (a copy of) a document. A consular authentication in no way attests to the authenticity of the contents of a document.
Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China authenticates documents that are executed in America and will be used in China. These documents including but not limited to the followings:
1. Individuals:
Certificate of Adoption, Certificate of Marriage Status, Certificate of Identification, Certificate of Kindred, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate;
2. Business:
Business License, Corporate Capacity, Labor Contract, Property Proofs.
Regarding notarization and authentication Law Office of Jessie Ho offers following services:
1. Notarization of Notary Public;
2. Authentication of County;
3. Authentication of the Secretary of State;
4. Authentication of U.S. Department of State Authentications Office (if applicable);
5. Authentication of Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China.
Turnaround Time for Service
1. If translation and notarization services are required, it takes 7 working days (excluding time for express delivery) from the day after receiving the client’s payment and documents.
2. If notarization and authentication services are required, the turnaround time depends on the processing time of different embassies or consulates.
